Some listeners' thought the Holy Spirit came in as cause to orchestrate situations that we experience as painful. But he's got to work with the fact that our choice is sovereign, okay? And we've used our choice to essentially set in motion a lot of pain and suffering for ourselves. So now what can he do? He has to work within that framework that we've established and take corrective measures.
