Macron's Back Down on the Pension Reforms
Among a certain generation in this country, as well as France, there is a creeping suspicion that they will never retire. When people refuse to extend their working years, despite much higher life expectancies, do they condemn their children to forever work? I think another and equally important concern stems from this very valid question of, will I be able to get a job or keep a job when I'm in my 60s? Many protesters believe that this approach is resoundingly anti-democratic. If there's one thing that the French detest, it's a power-hungry kin.
