The Dilemma of Conversions in Union Square
There's like 620 different buildings that are in Union Square. And I think it's around 5 billion square feet for retail. Even before the pandemic, we found that on the one hand, we didn't want to fill all these billions with tech office. On the other hand, retailers weren't interested in being on the second floor or the third floor. So you have a little bit of a dilemma.
