A lot of patients that take supplements. I would say high majority of the patients i see in my clinical practice take some type of supplement. If it's a primary prevention patient who really has low risk features and they want to take something over the counter, i allow them to do it. And then i always let's follow your numbers. Let's look at how this supplement is impacting your triglycerides or your high sensitivity c r p. For those patients, i really insist that they use something that is evidence based.
