A lot of mission statements I see are like we help humankind by being forward thinking individuals with a collective intention of benevolence. So abstract and so intractable. Here's what I think is a good mission statement is like a statement of an actual mission. There's accountability there's specificity exactly it's not like improve humankind maybe you're bristling at the abstraction and therefore this feels like meaningless to you. We do not agree that it's better to have a code of conduct or a set of core principles when you hire someone for example like they know what you're all about.
