Climate models are built on a set of differential equations that describe the movement of the atmosphere. Currently, in the current generation of climate models, there are 32 models used to model the atmosphere and the ocean around the world. For every one of these million grid points on the planet, we have a daily estimate of temperature, precipitation and a number of other variables. It for the historical period, 19 50 through present day. Then we have it projected into the future. From 20 22 onward, under different scenarios, mentioned earlier, the scenario in which we do nothing to change our impact on the climate, that's got a particular name. And there are three other main scenarios.
