A Man Called Adam by Peter Lawford
A man called adam was a drama set in the jaz world. Directed by leo penn, father of shan and produced by ike jones. The main roles are played by sammy lossi, davis, cicily tyson and frank sonatra junior. Louis armstrong has a big speaking part. Mel tormey has a significant cameo. With all this star power and a plot which dances tantalizingly close to sammy's own experience, his character is even dramatized by a car accident. It's a fascinating artifact, but as drama, it's a little stagy. Sometimes this works, though.
