The Choices of Social Workers
I wanted this to be not a book about blame. It's so easy to blame lots of people in the book because there's a crap mom. There's an alcoholic father. And there are some dodgy social workers. When I say dodgy from a 10-year-old boy's point of view, because they've taken it away from his mother, that's no spoiler. You don't even know the book, which is fantastic. The second thing was, I know when I saw you talking in the summer, you were talking about social work. Yes. One of the things that my name is Leon does so brilliantly is deal with social workers as though they were human beings.
