Lacan's Theory of Enunciation
The enunciating subject vanishes as soon as the grammatical subject pops up. Lacan says on page 10 that it is stifled, effaced, immediately at the same time as it appears. The system of signifiers known as language is a differential system. It's not S1 and another S1 but an S1 and an S2.
