The four % rule is a good guide for, let's say you want to retire in ten years. It just tells you approximately how much you need to, say, right? Here's the quick and dirty way to do it: You figure out youre your approximately your tax rate. If we're ust really simplifying things as soon as possible, this could be zero because the tax on that costs a year plus that costs a lot of money.
