"I had maybe fraction of a second to run away, but I didn't," she says. "Your brain does when you get trauma, it numbs your body so you don't feel anything." She recalls being in someone's car because they didn't wait for the ambulance to come and get her. 'How did I remember that in the middle of everything?' he asks.
