Sally Kohn: Why was it important for you to tell your own story alongside the presentation of your scholarly research in this book? Kohn: My audience is women and men in the church who have a disconnect between what academia has by faithful Christians and then what we're told in our churches. I decided that this book, my audience was evangelical, so I needed to have the evangelical language, which is our testimony.
