Alyssa Blackburn and Dr. Eris Lieberman-Eden studied who controlled Bitcoin from the very earliest days. They used methods that may be called daily kids, fingerprinting to kind of link these addresses together. The significance of address linking is the following: If you look at the Bitcoin blockchain designed to be a forward identity masking via pseudonymity, it's the individual records relate to addresses, pseudonyms. In this study, we were able to trace transactions through the network.
