The Origins of Science Fiction

In the early days it seemed like science fiction and fantasy and horror were all really one genre. That made science fiction start delineating into its own genre splitting off from horror and fantasy. It's still intended to reflect some aspect of our society in a way that you can't do in our society without changing a bunch and putting it into space. And so I think that science fiction is still well not necessarily a didactic genre anymore. But it might just be a western in space.
