The Importance of Being Open to Change

I hope we're not just creatures of our time, but I do feel we're missing something with not having the real world around us when we shoot you. Well, I think it makes the acting better too. When we did Blade Runner, we definitely built the foreground, the mid ground and only replaced some of the background because the actors could then be in this futuristic world and be responding. You have to understand that you are the leader of the crew. And so your leadership, if the crew works,If the crew plays nicely, if it does good work, that's a major accolade to you as the leader.
