The Influence of Loon Large on the Victorian Myth
I owe my whole career to 1960s and 1970s, Telly and film Victoriana. My older sisters who were teenagers had lots of leured jack-the-ripper paperbacks lying around the house. I found it fascinating why we could live in a city of extreme riches and that level of destitution. So anything like that that triggers a child or a young person into wanting to study further and drill down, I'm all for it. Fernr Adele was the historical advisor on the TV drama Ripper Street.
