Captain Chaffee: A Guided Tour of the Company Front

In this chapter, Captain Chaffee, a Marine Corps company commander, meets with two individuals and gives them a guided tour of the company front. He walks along the trench line, addressing each Marine by their proper names and discussing enemy activity and conducting ambushes. The chapter ends with Captain Chaffee introducing Lieutenant Flynn and relinquishing control of the area to him.
