Does Buster Scuggs Whistle?
In western literature we see whistling associated with the squire and the canterbury tales in the fourteenth century. We don't really see a precursor to this character type in roman and greek writing. But, but here we have an early example of the lusty lout who is also potentially whistling. And i guess the fluting here is what might be whistling, fluting without a flutethat's what i've always gessed, whistling.
