What's a Chiasmus?
In chapter eight, we get the middle of the flood narrative. There's a literary device here used that's called a chiasmus. It shows up in hebrew and greek and latin texts all over the place. We even use it to day. Martin luther, king junior, used it. Abraham lincoln used it. And this is what we're supposed to focus on. The first verse in chapter eight says, god remembered noah.
