What Got You Here Cannot Get You There

physics community stalled for nearly 50 years, since around 19 73. We have never had a drought where no person working in pure fundamental theory has taken a trip to stock home. No one born after that time has contributed to the standard model in a clear and profound way. In other words, what got you here cannot get you there. One of the biggest problems we have is the political economy of science. It's created a dire and cutthroat competition which has completely deranged the scientific tradition.
