I think another thing that springs tomy when i think of what makes trader joes culty is the sense of ritual. That quaint, cheeky family culture of every trader joe's is very meticulously baked into every part of the brand. And that just makes it feel like more than a grocery store. I've a friend who's a fellow comedian, and when he was unemployed, he interviewed at trader joa's like five times because a wanted to work hing so bad.
