We think that we are avoiding conflict and being nice when we don't set boundaries. Boundaries don't just benefit the person who's setting them, they benefit the relationship in its entirety. Just a very simple like, hey, Barbara, the next time you want to drop by, would you please call first? All of a sudden, all of that is alleviated.
