"I wish the doctors would have explained to us the likelihood of lows and how to treat them," she says. "You get in this situation where you're constantly trying to stop a thing, it's like trying to stop the sun from coming up." 'We're not going to stop diabetes from being diabetes,' he adds. "'One day the lion's going to kill you right? Okay. It's at least going to come at you or at least bite your arm off' That takes it out of the picture of, well, is it going to happen?' I'm telling you this stuff so that when it happens, you know what to do.'"
