He says, I'm not going to be here much longer, so you need to be able to do my work. And it's interesting because it became well known that the apostles and disciples could heal using his name. So this is part of what he's telling them. In verse 21, in that hour, Jesus rejoiced in spirit and thanked his father. This is the only place in the gospels where it specifically mentions him being happy.
