After years after Itzak Rabin was assassinated, Ehud Barak effectively says there is no partner for peace with the Palestinians. This is kind of the second big blow to the so-called Israeli peace camp. And into that comes the Israeli center which was always a historically kind of neoliberal bourgeois set of parties in Israeli society. Over the last two decades, the center has focused much more on those issues and particularly on the economy while the left is flatter.
