The Battle of Zalfeld

The Battle of Zalfald was a complete triumph for the French. The Prussians suffered just under 2,000 casualties. Most of them were able to escape, but almost every one of their units was totally shattered. It would take a long time to gather the survivors together and re-equip them. Napoleon sent a letter of condolence to King Frederick William at his court.
