Is There a World View Diversification?

i'm curious what you think about a different way of looking at this puzzle, when we're thinking about divying up resources between the present and the future. At open philanthropy m this researcher, ja cotra, has been one of the people developing this idea of world view diversification. One option is to just naively use expected value to figure out, like, where to put all your money. The problem with that is that long termism is always going to win no matter how many beneficiaries it claims to represent. A different possibility is to embrace more of a value pluralism, where you just say, hey, there's different sources of value.
