There is a large percentage of people who think that carbohydrates being broken down to sugar is sort of quote unquote the cause of insulin resistance and, and type two diabetes. And generally what we see and some of the past research that I've done is that if you have whole unprocessed carbohydrates or carbohydrates that are a lower glycemic index, we do see beneficial effects on cardiometabolic disease risk factors. The most important thing for carbohydrates is that you're not consuming them in excess. It's the excess calories of carbohydrates that are more of the problem than the carbohydrates themselves.
