How to Breathe Properly

The parasympathetic branch of the autonomic system has a calming effect on the body. In nature we're designed to breathe through our nose for these reasons. If people are eating foods that produce too much phlegm it clogs their nasal airways up and they end up breathing through their mouth all the time. That winds up the sympathetic nervous system which is the fight or flight system.
