Self-One and Self-Improvement in the Art of Archery

Timothy Galway advocates what we might call implicit learning. This is basically a word from psychology where you learn something without really trying and he gives several examples which indicates that he's roughly talking about this. He argues that it is essential for self-one to trust self-two, the unconscious part of yourself. D.T. Suzuki who is a Zen master says in archery as soon as we reflect, deliberate and conceptualize the original unconsciousness is lost but child likeness has to be restored.
