How Many Transactions Are Happening in the Last 12 Months?
GPLAs or continuation funds have become more than 50% of the market. Any fund manager that owns a good company that has performed well in the last few years and that still has runway is a potential GPLAD candidate, he says. The average deal size would be anywhere between half a billion to a billion dollars so that gives you a sense of the number of transactions. Generally, banks like these transactions just because they like the idea that the company will get new fresh equity.
