The Contrast Effect

I'm thinking about when I build reports and there's that big large dollar amount number at the upper right hand corner because that's our total spend whatever that may be. Then I'm looking at everything else on the report page and all those other numbers are much smaller is that in fact implicating something that I'm doing? You're already saying these numbers are too low they should be higher how do we get to that big number with all these little numbers laying around so there may be something to it just to being able to be more intentional about what you're presenting on those main pages particularly when you're rolling a lot of things up to a high value.
