Is There a House Committee on Independent Contractors?
Evan Wood: I imagine multiple hearings in the first half of next year on independent contractor issues. The committee will develop specific legislation to codify a standard that makes sense, he says. He also thinks they may pursue something called the Congressional Review Act, which will allow Congress to rescind a final rule by an administration. Woods: Most of the action is going to be in the house because the Republicans do control the majority there next Congress.
