The Jurassic Period - The History of the Dinosaurs
The first dinosaurs lived in a time called the triassic period, and that started about 250 million years ago. This was right in the aftermath of the worst mass extinction that ever happened. And so they continued to diversify as the earth healed from that extinction. There were no t rexes or brontosauruses, or even stegasauruses yet. That would come in the next period of time, which is called the jurassic period. Because the jurassic is the time that dinosaurs properly spread around the world. They started to grow to enormous sizeas some of the long necked dinosaurs became larger than jet airplanes.
