Paul Revere was one of two people with extraordinarily high connectedness, which means he was a member of multiple organizations. His involvement in the movement we call Freemasonry and surprise surprise a lot of the leaders of the American Revolution were masons. So conclusion, if you want to think about the importance of an individual in history, don't just go with their fame, because fame may itself be something of a construct behind the deeds of famous men and it's usually men.
