In a Conditional, Your Question Words Become Indefinite.

There's a common set of circumstances where it can be used in negative sentences, in questions. This was surprising to me after modal adverbs like probably and sometimes or likely and that sort of stuff. And the reason I thought this is interesting because you got Vietnamese and Chinese, okay, they're in the same sprock and whatever, they're doing the same. Latin does the same thing in a conditional, your question words become indefinite. So this seems to be a pretty widespread pattern.
