Larry krasner, a long time civil rights attorney, promises big changes throuh the city's justice system. He was a civil rights lawyer who represented black live's matter activus and occupi protesters ind suits against the police. In 20 17, he won the da's race in a landslide. Philadelphia became part of what's known as the progressive prosecutor movement Alongside cities like san francisco, chicago, boston and los angeles. It's a movement to elect officials like krasner,. lawyers who want to transform the das roll tofocus on reducing incarceration and racism in the criminal justice system.
