Should We Have a Policy That Surgeons Don't Operate on Their Birthdays?
A group of surgeons in Michigan are working to improve surgical outcomes and bariatic surgery. They had already taken some basic steps to accomplish this, like standardizing care before and after the procedure. But there's obviously still complications. We were like, jes, we need to get into the operating room itself and see if there's a way that we can measure the quality of the operation and set about improving it.
