When a war has lasted about six months, it's really hard to get it to stop within the next six months historically. Wars are much easier to stop when they've lasted days or weeks. Once you get into half a year or plus, then it'sreally hard to stop partly because of sunk costs. You just have body counts that are really high on both sides. And everybody is filled with hatred towards the other side. The mood in Ukraine is implacable. I don't think the Russian offensive that's currently underway will be decisive. Nor do I think the Ukrainian counter offensive or spring offensive will be decisive."
