i like to view samuel and kings written from the perspective of israel, not in its northern geography, but at its point in history. This portion of history reads more like headlines of your current events than it does a reflection on earlier history. In our discussion groups, we'llook at david and goliath, and we'll talk about that a little bit. We have all the same books in our old testament that the jews have in what they call the tanach, the hebrew scriptures,. But they have been re ordered in the hebrew scripture as part of an anti-semitic campaign by the christians. And i think there's a lot more going on here
