The Diastolic Runoff
The next component of the waveform is the systolic decline, and this is the rapid decline in arterial blood pressure as the ventricular contraction comes to an end. And then finally is the end diastolic pressure, which is the pressure exerted by the vascular tree back upon the aorta.
