The Third Wave of Chinese Piracy

In 1683 the government scored a success when the Chinavic kicked the Chin family out of Taiwan. They allowed people to resettle on the coast, they allowed trade to take place again. So around the 1760s Chinese piracy was nearly extinct. The third wave of piracy was about to begin and was much bigger than the previous two. It may be useful to remember that Southern China was very ethnically divided.
