Albanese's speech was carefully crafted to avoid opening up any lines of attack from the government. He used phrases like australia's responsibility to act in our own interests. But he didn't actually directly criticise the present government for its outrage. The only other clear difference was on a climate change, which,. as we have discussed previously, is as much a domestic policy agender as it is foreign policy.
