The Origins of Suffering

Theologians call that question theodicy, which is an english word fo from two latin words, meaning the justice of god. The original hebrew indicates that god is pained, that pain is inflicted on him by what his eyes are seeing, that it hurts him to look. So how does god feel about suffering? It grieves his heart in the same way that it grieves mine or yours. And as the story rolls forth, god seems to work through something like what we call the stages of grief.
