Turkey has been influential in lots of the other crises that you've covered over the last few years, just because of where it is in the world. Everywhere you look, Turkey seems to be raising the flag. In some countries, you don't even really conscious of it because the Turkish construction companies during President Erdogan's rule were one of the areas where he focused on extending Turkey's reach abroad. But certainly, President Erdogan has been a kingmaker in Syria, backing the opposition in the armed opposition in Syria and working with Russia.
