There's now a call for a boycott of Ben and Jerry's ice cream since its CEO says we should return all lands to the Native Americans on 4th of July. Matt Welch: I think that there's something more transparently cynical going on here, which gets to Matt's point about how the commodified your dissent. He said corporations paid a social equity or social inclusiveness or social acceptability tax. Welch: And then they realized that's the opposite of what these people believe their job is. They negotiate with the terrorists. The culture war still persists in the circulatory system in the United States today.
