I really don't think like a rebalanced automated portfolio of ETFs is going to take a skilled certified financial planner's job away. I think you might find some people use those rubber advisors, but those are the ones that don't understand the true value that you're adding. So yes, one, identify your goals. Is it a house? Is it retirement? Is it to sleep well at night with a cash reserve? Do you want to boat? It's your life. The sooner you figure it out, the sooner you can start attacking them, right?
