Dundesh Eclund and the Swedish Government

Penilla Helgrian and Angela Herglund were murdered in 2000. Dundesh Eclund was named as a suspect, but his name remained on the police's list of known violent sex offenders. An astute viewer phoned police after seeing an investigative crime program detailing Penilla's murder; investigators did nothing about this tip at all. Had they done a thorough investigation, Eclund wouldn't have been free to kill Angela after Penilla's death. In a 2018 interview with Expressen, Angela's mother Karina described her grief at losing Angela as pain so unbearable, it hurt too much to cry.
