In 1908 there is this young Turk revolution I we can say and the Constitution is brought back and there's elections. Shafiq stayed very close to the May-Bain in different positions worked for at the translation office in the palace, later kind of went on from there. He had a lot of power that he exerted a lot of informal powerI should say that he was and connections that he was able to use throughout his career under with you know working for Abdul Hamid now unlike Sadeq who kind of was through the whole Tassifi-Rutab thing he was demoted because he was considered to be too close to the Sultan.
