Why Was Nado Not Attractive to Sweden?

Sweden has been neutral, militarily, non allianc since early nineteenth century. After the second world war there was a discussion on having a nordic defence union. But then when a nata was formed, and danish and norwegian friends decided that nato was the organization they wanted to belong to. We have very modern, very well exercised, militarily savy, armed forces. And also we think that, you know, given our defense forces, we would be ton tonato.
